Upon seeing Bryan Scary and the Shredding Tears at a Glassworks show in Louisville in March of '07, Lisa thought a music video of one of the bands' songs would be a great fit for the sort of projects we do at ARG! The Tears have wonderful character when performing, and translated rather well into animated characters.

We chose Imitation of the Sky because of its clear and concise narrative; it was easy to focus on the story and use that as a vehicle to introduce the band at large. It is easy to do things with animation that would be cost-prohibitive in a live action video (planes, explosions, crazy inventions), and this allows us to create a simple yet epic music video with a small staff.

This has been a monster of a project for such a small production team, but we are extremely proud of the quality of art and animation and how all the scenes are coming together.
